Corpus-Based English Training Courses
An innovative way to improve your English speaking and listening skills
Corpus-Based English Training Project
Our project aims to develop a series of English training courses with a special focus on pronunciation and listening skills based on three speech corpora: EdUHK Corpus, The Speech Accent Archive (SAA), and International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA). With these corpora, English learners can improve their English by comparing, imitating, and practicing with speech data of English speakers from various backgrounds in our carefully designed courses and teaching activities. By the end of our courses, students are expected to be familiar with various English accents, be more proficient in using English, and can utilize different corpora to keep practicing and improving their English pronunciation/listening skills by themselves.
