Lesson Ten
Corpus-based Pronunciation Courses
Rationale
This lesson serves as the final assessment session for the course, focusing on student presentations. In Lesson 10, each student will have the opportunity to reflect on their own pronunciation problems and share their findings with the class. These presentations serve multiple purposes: they allow students to summarize their progress throughout the course, gain a more comprehensive understanding of their pronunciation challenges, and provide valuable insights for the teacher to offer targeted guidance and enhance the effectiveness of future lessons.
During their presentations, students are encouraged to discuss the difficulties they encountered while learning pronunciation. By sharing their struggles, teachers can gain a better understanding of the specific challenges students face and tailor the lesson content to address these difficulties more effectively.
Furthermore, students are encouraged to develop personalized pronunciation improvement methods based on their individual needs and share them with the class. This not only fosters communication and collaboration among students but also provides an opportunity for them to learn from one another's experiences and strategies.
